we love this place for a number of reasons: it has a beautiful setting, with places to sit around the grounds; the building is old and yet totally in good shape. the dining room has a low roof, french windows; there is a winery, and you get to taste their wines. our room, the violet room, was so pretty. none of this was in the slightest bit kitchy, which is so common in inns. a family runs the inn—–bob, his wife, his 2 sons and their wives, and a little girl, Aurora. there are also 1 or 2 dogs. everybody is really nice, but not TOO nice. if you need information, it’s all there. the price is very fair, and we would certainly go back there.
another important feature is the location. the inn is located off a dirt road, not on a busy highway, as so many of the other places are.
S., Cambridge, MassachusettsMy boyfriend and I visited this B&B/Winery for our anniversary. It was getting a little late in the season and was not too long after Irene so was VERY quite and serene. The hospitality was amazing. The place was clean, quaint, and had wonderful amenities, a tasty breakfast, and an enjoyable wine tasting. The family that owns the place is extremely kind! Great place to visit, we will be going back again, hopefully soon!
J. Day, Wilder, VermontWe just spent an overnight and had a wonderful time!! The rooms are so warm and quaint. The bed in the room we stayed in was so comfortable and room is so bright and cheery!!! The whole inn is very clean and the inn keepers, Bob and Rhonda Foley, are very accommodating and tend to your every need. They make their own wine and beer and have wine/beer tasting so you can try all their flavors (which are delicious)!!! We loved their “White Dog” wine. I would happily recommend this Bed & Breakfast and give it an excellent review!!!!
